Vic’s On The River Banquets

Vic’s is located in a beautiful old cotton warehouse overlooking the Savannah River and historic River Street. With entrances on both Bay Street and River Street, we are easy to access. Along with our spectacular views, Vic’s menu reflects Savannah’s Southern charm with our take on traditional Southern food and our fresh seafood selections. The Vic’s staff continues the tradition by giving friendly and gracious service to all our guests.

Bring your guests to enjoy a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, bah mitzvah, bat mitzvah, dinner party, luncheon or business meeting in one of our private dining rooms overlooking the Savannah River.

Our fifth floor Stoddard Room can seat up to 165 guests at one time and provides two balconies onto which the guests can walk and enjoy the view. Our smaller Dieter’s Den is located on the third floor and can seat as few as 10 and as many as 40 guests for a more intimate dining experience.

Chef Jay Cantrell will be glad to work with you on menus that will suite your exact needs. Please speak with him about any dietary needs or any other requests.

Banquet Policies

Room Fee
 $500.00 room fee will be added to reserve The Stoddard Room and
 $150.00 room fee will be added to reserve Dieter's Den (Dee-ter's Den) for your function.
 All bookings are considered tentative until a signed copy of the Room Agreement and Room Fee are received.

Guarantees
Confirmation of the number of guests to be served must be received 72 hours prior to the scheduled function. If that confirmation is not received timely, we will use the original expected number on the contract or the actual number of guests served, whichever is greater. We will be prepared to serve 5% over the actual guarantee only. Vic’s will count the number of guest at the event and will charge appropriately if the count of guest is higher than confirmed number.

Service Charge and Taxes
All food and beverages ordered will be subject to a 20% service charge and a 7% Georgia Sales Tax. Liquor drinks are subject to an extra 3% City of Savannah excise tax. These charges and fees are added to the prices listed on our menus.

Payment
Payment must be paid in full at the completion of the function. Any changes in the price of the contract will be adjusted at the end of the event.  Acceptable payments include: Cash, Master Card, Visa, American Express, Discover, or Corporate Check.

Beverages
Vic's is the only authority licensed to sell and serve alcohol for consumption on the premises; therefore, alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the restaurant.  In accordance to the liquor laws of the state of Georgia, a guest must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages.  Vic's on the River reserves the right to exercise its legal and social responsibility in refusing service to any guest that the bartender feels has consumed enough alcohol, regardless of the time the bar has been open.

Security
Vic's does not assume responsibility for any damage or loss of merchandise or articles left in the restaurant, prior to, during or following a banquet or meeting.

Balcony Conduct
No one is allowed to lean over, drop or throw objects over the balcony railings. Vic's on the River has the authority to close and lock all balcony doors if we deem any guest(s) are acting inappropriately or have consumed enough alcohol to cause the guest(s) to behave in an unsafe way on the balconies.

A Note from the Chef

My name is Jay Cantrell. I was born and raised in Moultrie, Georgia, and I have been surrounded by great Southern food and BBQ since I was a child. My mother and grandmothers taught me everything they know about preparing traditional Southern ingredients with the freshest meats and produce which were grown practically in my own backyard!
I then took my interests to Charleston, South Carolina where I studied at Johnson and Wales University.
After graduating, I began looking for the right restaurant in which I could showcase my education and use the knowledge passed down to me from my family to prepare the innovative Southern feasts I knew people would enjoy. I’m looking forward to preparing these items for you and making your experience at Vic’s a memorable one!
The menus I’m offering you are items I love to prepare and have a passion for providing. I enjoy taking traditional Southern items and ingredients and putting my own twist to them. I love the South and I want you to taste it with me!
